These terms are the agreement between you and private entrepreneur Bohdan Bunchuk (ФОП Бунчук Богдан), Ukraine, who runs Flowney: the iOS app, its Telegram bot and this website. “We” in these terms means the operator.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Flowney. How we handle your personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
1. What Flowney is
Flowney is a personal ledger. It keeps your accounts, operations, debts and plans in one place and shows where your money goes.
Flowney is not a bank, a payment service or a financial adviser. It does not hold or move money, and nothing in it is financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Its figures are only as accurate as what you and your bank put into it; where it matters, your bank’s statement is the authority.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old. Sign-in by phone works in the countries the app lists. Flowney is not offered in Russia or Belarus.
3. Your account
- An account is for one person. To keep money together with someone else, share a ledger (section 5).
- Keep your phone, your PIN and your devices safe. You are responsible for what is done from your account, unless it happened through our fault.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, end their session in the app and write to us.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time: Settings → Delete account.
4. Connecting a bank
- Connect only your own bank account, with a token you issued yourself.
- The token only lets Flowney read. Nobody can make a payment with it. You can revoke it in monobank at any time.
- Flowney is not affiliated with monobank or Universal Bank.
- The bank decides what it sends and when. Its data can be late, incomplete or wrong, and the bank can change or close its API. We do our best to keep sync working, but cannot promise it always will.
5. Shared ledgers and other people’s data
- The owner of a shared ledger decides who is in it and what each member sees, and can remove a member at any time.
- Entries you make in someone else’s ledger belong to that ledger. They stay there after you leave it or delete your account.
- Enter information about other people — a name in a debt, a phone number in an invitation — only if you have the right to.
6. The bot and automations
The Telegram bot and the Apple Pay automation in Shortcuts are optional. Telegram’s and Apple’s own terms apply to their services.
7. Plans
- Flowney has a free plan and Pro. What each includes is shown in the app.
- Pro is currently provided free of charge. If we start charging for it, you will see the price and the terms before you pay, and purchases will go through the App Store under Apple’s rules for billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
- When Pro ends, nothing you entered is deleted or locked. What goes beyond the free plan stops working, bank sync pauses until Pro returns, and you cannot add more than the free plan allows.
8. Your data
Your ledger is yours. You give us the right to store and process it only to run Flowney for you. You can export your operations to CSV at any time, on every plan.
9. What you must not do
- Try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or into our servers.
- Overload Flowney, probe it for weaknesses or get around its limits.
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
- Use Flowney for anything unlawful, including hiding where money came from.
10. What is ours
The app, the name Flowney, its mark and this website belong to the operator. While these terms apply, you have a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Flowney available, but do not promise it will run without interruptions or errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to close Flowney, we will say so at least 30 days in advance, so that you can export your data.
12. Liability
Flowney is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for decisions you make on the strength of what Flowney shows, for errors in data a bank sends, or for indirect losses such as lost profit;
- our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits our liability for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or any right you have as a consumer that a contract cannot take away.
13. Ending the agreement
You can end it at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we will tell you why unless the law forbids it.
14. The App Store
If you downloaded Flowney from the App Store:
- these terms are between you and the operator, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Flowney or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation;
- Apple is not responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection and intellectual property claims;
- you confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and disputes go to the courts of Ukraine. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection its mandatory rules give you, including the right to go to court there. Before going to court, write to us: most things can be settled that way.
16. Changes to these terms
The date at the top is the date of this version. We will announce material changes before they take effect. If you keep using Flowney after that, you accept them; if you do not accept them, delete your account.
